    It could matter if I was building RPMs using meson. I am not. I don't
    have any plans to do so in near future.
    
    Anyway, I think v21 will be a reasonable version to stop supporting RHEL
    8. At that point I will be happy to switch to meson builds. Until then
    feel free to use any reasonable meson version. The version on RHEL 9
    could be a good minimum choice: meson -> 0.63.3 , ninja-build: 1.10.2
    per the reasons stated in this thread.
