So If I understand the code correctly, the new check should be
if (prefixlen + suffixlen < (slen * need_rate) / 100)
return false;
rather than
if (slen - prefixlen - suffixlen > (slen * need_rate) / 100)
return false;
Please confirm, else any validation for this might not be useful?
