Makefile.shlib bug and AIX patch

I finally found some time to make the shared library Makefile adjustments 
for the AIX port.

Bruce, please apply this to the REL6_5_PATCHES (and current), 
since it would be cool for 6.5.1.

irix5 is broken, cause it has an extra _ in there. Fix is in the Patch.
