Well, you would have one of those: DROP DATABASE [IF EXISTS] name WITH (FORCE) DROP DATABASE [IF EXISTS] name Naturally, the WITH is optional in the sense that the clause itself is optional. (Note we don't have CASCADE/RESTRICT in DROP DATABASE.)
