    The information on timezones seems to be incorrect based on the documentation.
    The appendix on time/date support (UG1) in the user's guide lists hawaii and
    alaska as being in the same timezone and having daylight and standard variants.
    However Hawaii is an hour back from alaska's time zone and does not use 
    daylight savings time.  The abbreviation for Hawaii's time zone is Hawaiian 
    Standard Time (HST) and it is equivalent to (GMT-10).  Also some other areas
    particularly tropical countries do not observe daylight savings time.
