> I think debian does a great job, do other distros make it so easy? On Mac OS X, there's Marc Liyanage's binary package, which is about as simple as it gets to install. But PostgreSQL also compiles pretty nicely out of the box. So I think it is really more a question of being known and known in a good light. Also on Mac OS X Server, MySQL is included by default. Has anyone tried to lobby Apple about including PostgreSQL too?
