Re: contrib code for 6.5

I have make a diff, and applied the diff, while adding the new files
from the distribution

One item stuck out as a problem:

	+ # Strip debian/rules install prefix if defined
	+ REAL_MODDIR = $(shell echo $(MODDIR) | sed 's|.*/debian/tmp||')

I really could not install these lines, and replaced mentions of
REAL_MODDIR with MODDIR.  This seems too site-specific.
