    You might want to download Interbase for RedHat Linux 4.2 from 
    http://www.interbase.com/ .
    
    I have'nt installed it yet (they claim it has known problems with RH
    5.0), 
    but it also seems to have embedded SQL included. 
    
    And I assume it has some examples included

    I'll try. The download is pretty slow at the moment (668 bytes/sec). :-)
