I was looking around, and for this to be a good patch, I have to add it
to "postgres" as well as "postmaster."

In the 7.1.3 source, there is a command line option "-C" (don't show
version number) which seems to have been depricated in 7.1.x (no longer
documented, but still active.)

Is is "-C" dangerous at this stage? Should I use another command line
option?
