makefile broken...

Hello,

I'm running slackware Linux 7.1 using gmake and I get the following
errors when doing a configure:

mkdir: cannot make directory `interfaces/odbc': No such file or
directory
ln: ./include/port: hard link not allowed for directory
configure: error: can not link interfaces/odbc/port to ./include/port

and make:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/postgresql-7.0.3/src/backend'
make -C interfaces all
make: *** interfaces: No such file or directory.  Stop.
make: *** [all] Error 2
